FAQ
What if the weather is bad?
Rest assured, I'm fully prepared to adapt to any weather conditions to ensure we capture beautiful photos of you and your family.
If the weather forecast looks unfavorable on the scheduled day, we have a few options:
Reschedule: We can choose an alternative date that works best for you and your family and myself.
Alternative Locations: I have outdoor locations in mind that could serve as great backup options in case of inclement weather.
Adaptation: Depending on the conditions, we can also adjust the timing or style of the shoot to make the most of the situation.
What’s the best time to do photos?
Sunrise and sunset, often referred to as the "golden hours," are indeed ideal times for photoshoots for several reasons:
Golden Light: During sunrise and sunset, the sun is lower in the sky, which creates a soft, warm, and flattering light. This golden light is much more gentle and diffused compared to the harsh, direct light of midday sun, reducing harsh shadows and making colors appear richer.
Less Crowded: Typically, sunrise sessions are less crowded than sunset sessions, especially in popular outdoor locations. This can give you more flexibility in choosing your shooting spots and allow for a more relaxed atmosphere during the photoshoot.
Versatility: Depending on the look you want to achieve, sunrise and sunset offer flexibility. Sunrise tends to have cooler tones and a quieter ambiance, while sunset has warmer tones and can evoke a more romantic or dramatic feel.
How should we dress for our family session?
When planning your photoshoot, choosing clothing in neutral and light colors is a great idea because it helps create a timeless and cohesive look. Here are some tips:
Neutrals: Opt for colors like white, cream, beige, tan, gray, or soft pastels. These colors tend to photograph well and won't distract from the main focus, which is your family.
Avoid busy patterns and logos: Large logos or busy patterns can be distracting in photos. Instead, choose solid colors or subtle patterns like stripes or small prints.
Comfort is key: Make sure everyone feels comfortable in what they're wearing.
Remember, the goal is to create a cohesive look while still reflecting your family's personality. Have fun with it, and your photos will capture beautiful memories!
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
It's completely normal to feel a bit nervous or uncomfortable in front of the camera, and I'm here to help make the experience as enjoyable and relaxed as possible for you. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Relax and Be Yourself: The most important thing is to be yourself. Authenticity shines through in photos, so try to relax and enjoy the moment.
Posing Guidance: I'll provide gentle guidance on poses and positioning throughout the photoshoot. I'll suggest poses that feel natural and comfortable for you and your family, ensuring you look your best while feeling at ease.
Engagement and Interaction: Sometimes, the best photos capture candid moments of genuine interaction and emotion. I'll encourage natural interactions between family members to capture those special moments.
Trust the Process: Remember that I have experience working with families of all kinds. Trust that I'll guide you through the session and capture beautiful moments that you'll cherish.
